Jill Finley began designing quilts almost as soon as she started making them. Her creative spirit and affinity for working with fabrics result in a fresh take on traditional quilt making. She has an eye for color and pattern and loves to soften her designs with the swirls and curves of applique. Jill loves to share her quilting knowledge with others and has been teaching classes for more than 10 years. She launched her design business, Jillily Studio in 2008 and has been busy ever since. Her designs have been featured in several quilting publications, including: American Patchwork and Quilting, Quilter’s Home, and Quilts. She recently developed an applique basting glue, Appli-Glue for the quilting industry.
In addition to teaching and creating notions and patterns, Jill designs fabrics for Henry Glass Company. Her first fabric line “Meet the Meadow,” will soon be followed by “Elizabeth’s Letters” and “Thistledown.” Many more ideas are bouncing around in her head waiting to be turned into beautiful fabrics.
